The film was produced by Jhane Myers ( Monsters of God), who is an acclaimed filmmaker and member of the Comanche nation herself and “is known for her attention and dedication to films surrounding the Comanche and Blackfeet nations and her passion for honoring the legacies of the Native communities. Well, I don’t have to complain about that anymore because I just learned that the movie will be released in English and in the Comanche language! There will be a version of the film that you can watch in Comanche, and that’s pretty damn cool! The original actors returned to perform their roles in Comanche. I just kept hearing how committed the filmmaking team was to providing an accurate portrayal of the Comanche and bringing a level of authenticity to the film.
Director Dan Trachtenberg’s upcoming Predator movie Prey looks pretty damn awesome! The one thing that disappointed me was that the Comanche warriors spoke perfect English.
